This week I'll do the last of my Vista-Office-Exchange MSAM "Ready for a New Day" Launch events. I hope many of you had a chance to join me at one of these events. For those that did make a Launch event, you should have gotten a "Launch Kit" with the Office-Groove PIDs (product keys) in it -- remember, those are the keys to use if you want the full retail product (not the keys on the download page). Additionally, you should be aware that when you go to download you'll see the option for Download 1 and Download 2. Usually, this would indicate a mirrored site, but, in this case, it's actually 2 downloads, think of it as CD1 and CD2, so you will need both (if you want the BCM and SBA Express, which is what's on the CD2). If you use the keys from the download site, you will only be activating an evaluation version of those programs. In an unrelated vein, if you're on the TS2 schedule in March, you will be getting the Launch content, but there will not be the launch kits (software give-away) and all the other "extra" stuff going on like there was for the launch events.

You can find it at: www.windowsvista.com/YourDRT
The DRT can be installed and run on your own primary pc, there's no need for a dedicated demo PC!Having said that, however, I would not necessarily recommend that, kind of like always doing a fresh install vs upgrading. If you're not familiar with DRT, this is the same essential bits that we use for the TS2 demos - if you've seen the Vista-Office demos at Launch events, they've all been done on the DRT platform. Enjoy!!

Most of you are already familiar with the Business & Technology Assessment Toolkit, but I'm thinking you may not be as familiar with this cool resource. Check out the link below, and especially the "Get the Tools" tab, where you can select your choice of attributes, such as: Microsoft Campaigns, Customer Size, Microsoft Product/Technology, and Solution Scenario, then get the just the Tools prescribed. I hope you check it out and are able to use it.
