October 2005 - Posts

Atlanta, La Crosse, and Green Bay

Looks like I'm going to be pretty busy travelling during the coming weeks, but over the past two weeks, I've had a chance to meet with some great indviduals in Georgia and Wisconsin.

In Atlanta, I delivered a presentation discussing the benefits of server consolidation as well as as some almost "common sense" steps on how to be successul.  Immediately, I thought about how SBS 2003 is an AWESOME example of server consolidation!  What a great testament to the fact that just one server can support all the operations of a small busineess.

If you're interested in server consolidation on a grander scale, take a look at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/overview/benefits/consolidation/overview.mspx

In Wisconsin, I delivered TS2 Seminars to our parters in or near La Crosse and Green Bay.

Some of the questions that I was asked were:

Can you isolate Sharepoint access with ISA?

How customizeable is Microsoft Point of Sale (POS)?

How can I get evaluation copies of RMS (Retail Management System) and POS?

How can I receive non-timed bombed trial or NFR copies of Small Business Accounting?

As soon I have some definitive answers to this, I'll edit this blog.  If you were in Wisconsin and remember any important qeustiosn, please bring them ot my attention.

Thanks!
